Treasure Hunt: Tour Across America - Hint 1
The Tour Across America treasure has not been found yet. The five numbers you found from each stop are important for helping you solve the cipher in the final clue. The order of these numbers is critical, but the correct order is not the order they were given in. To use them to solve the cipher you'll need to find the right order.

Down the road a bit a great battle’s enshrined

Treasure Hunt: The Tour Across America - Clue 1
(This Treasure Has Been Found)
The Tour Across America Treasure Hunt has officially begun! There is a $10 bill waiting for someone at the end. For this hunt you will need a treasure map, specifically, this treasure map
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
You will use it to locate 5 locations across the United States. At each location there is some information that you need to get. Over the next five days clues will be given to each location, one each day. The information that you gather from each location will be crucial in helping you solve the 6th and final clue that leads to the treasure.
Here is your first clue:
Near where Ceres sits atop a golden dome,
In a place where a retired general calls home,
Red, white, and blue lead to a modern horse’s urban oasis,
Out in front how many metered parking spaces?

The Treasure Of The Lost Scrolls Solution
Throughout the World Wide Web are hidden four scrolls,
On each scroll are web addresses with holes
Each scroll will help you find the next one,
Until the treasure is found and your search is done.
The treasure you seek is not buried in the ground,
Somewhere on the internet it can be found.
The first scroll will appear when you find the right link in the pic,
It’s a race so hurry, you need to be quick.
The beginning of your hunt is very near,
To see the picture just click here
The link you needed to find in the picture was http://blowing-glass-bottles-techniques.blogspot.com/ and was found by clicking on the floating bottle just to the right of the “No Swimming” sign.
On the First Scroll you saw:
The web addresses will take the same form,
A www and dot com is the norm.
The asterisk you see will become something new,
Replace it with the answer you get from each clue.
Clue: The ages of a father and a son add up to 55. The father’s age is the son’s age reversed. How old is the Father?
The answer is 41 so you needed to use the web address www.lostscroll41.weebly.com
On the Second Scroll you saw:
Clue: The year 1978 has an unusual property: When you add the 19 to the 78, you get 97 – the middle two digits of the year! What will be the next year to have this same property?
The answer is 2307 so you needed to use the web address www.lostscroll2307.blogspot.com
On the Third Scroll you saw:
Clue: Complete the next 3 letters in the sequence: eoerex…
The solution to this sequence is that the terms of the series correspond to the last letter of the numbers onE twO threE fouR fivE siX…seveN eighT ninE
The answer is NTE so you needed to use the web address www.lostscrollnte.blogspot.com
On the Fourth Scroll you saw:
A prison is composed of sixteen cells. The prisoner in the upper left-hand cell (cell 1) has the key to a trap door in the lower right-hand cell (cell 16). Having decided to escape, he breaks through the wall to the neighboring cell and kills the prisoner within, leaving the body in place. He goes through all of the cells, killing all of the prisoners, but never returns to a cell where there is a dead body. And he manages to escape from prison at the end! Can you work out the number sequence to his murderous route? (the first number will of course be 1)

The trick to solving this puzzle lies in returning to the first cell (which doesn’t contain a dead body) after the first murder…after that there are several successful routes.
The one you needed was 1 2 1 5 9 13 14 10 6 7 3 4 8 12 11 15 16 so you needed to use the web address www.scroll121591314106734812111516.weebly.com

Treasure Hunt: HUNT FOR THE TEN - Solution
Here is the solution to the HUNT FOR THE TEN treasure. Enjoy!
Clue and Answer to Coin 1
What has eight legs and sings?
- quartet
Clue and Answer to Coin 2
I am one more than a square but one less than a cube
- 26 (25 is the square, 5x5 and 27 is the cube, 3x3x3)
Clue and Answer to Coin 3
Fill in the missing squares in such a way that the rows, columns, and the two diagonals all add up to the same number. The answer to the clue is the product of all the numbers in the missing boxes.
27x34x17x26x18x33x24 = 5784457536
Clue and answer to coin 4
Complete the sequence
2, 5, 26, 677, ?
458330 (to get the next number in the sequence, square the previous number and then add 1)
Clue and Answer to coin 5
What word, expression, or name is depicted?
- bermuda triangle
Final Clue and Answer
You have made it to the final leg of your hunt
Hopefully you have been able to find the five coins
They will be helpful in solving the final clue to the treasure
tkadj stceh kktbk tkadj stcet ejskt rhkbq lktsk toki
The Key to the cipher is common, to be terse,
No meter, not poetry, nor is it verse
Each of the 5 coins had a letter on it
O R P E S
With these five letters you could spell several words but we were looking for one in particular, the word PROSE.
The definition of PROSE is as follows: the ordinary form of spoken or written language, without metrical structure, as distinguished from poetry or verse.
Hopefully you can see how the clue was describing this word.
Now what to do with it. One of the most important parts of the clue was the first five words, “The Key to the cipher”. This should have been taken literally meaning that the cipher needed a key and was a big hint that the cipher was a key word cipher. The rest of that clue described the “Key” which was PROSE.
Using the word prose the cipher text looks like this
Using this one could decode the cipher to read “to find the loot go to find the ten dot blogspot dot com”
Thank you for playing. I hope you had a good time. Stay tuned for our next hunt coming soon!!!
